How to eliminate temporarily all the headings, and titles.

Is there a way to temporarily eliminate all the titles, headings, icons, etc. when viewing and entering data, so that there is more actual working space. Now the titles and headings occupy at least 1/3 of the space on the monitor. Maybe a screen view with only column titles and the remainder nothing but data.
