How to improve performance

I am wondering if there is any way to improve the performance of Zoho Creator. While I was making a presentation, one of audiences did not like the delay of page loading.

I found that somebody posted some basic advices about writing a script, but is there anything else I can try?

Our database does not have much data yet. Only 10-30 records for each table. When I jumped to menu to menu, we saw "loading" icon.

Should I just say it is common because database is a memory intensive application?

I do not remember where I found, but does it matter if I reduce the max number of characters in text fields?

Or, each menu shows the very left Form/View/Page by default. Usually, is Form the slowest page to be loaded?
