I am inexplicably taken from place to place in the document

I am inexplicably taken from place to place in the document

I am inexplicably taken from place to place in my writer documents, for no reason that I can see. I'll just be working, and then, all of a sudden, I am taken to the beginning or last page of my documents.

Often it happens when the little circle stops spinning.
