I just want to make categories for e-mailing purposes only. I don't want to pow-wow.

 

How can I make groups or categories or whatever that merely label a contact as, say, a  relative, and nothing further?  I have tried, and am getting nowhere.  Everything is all about sharing this and sharing that and working collaboratively  in real time, etc., etc., etc.,  I just want five categories of contacts. Simple categories.  Period.  How does one do this?
