Introducing Record Summary: smarter insights at your fingertips

Building on the recent launch of Zoho's in-house Zia Large Language Model (Zia LLM)—a major milestone in Zoho CRM’s AI capabilities—we’re excited to introduce the Record Summary feature. This powerful addition makes use of Zia LLM to simplify how you interact with your CRM data, providing a seamless, consolidated view of critical record information.

Scrolling through the record detail page and navigating multiple sections to gather insights is a thing of the past. With Record Summary, you can now access a comprehensive snapshot of important details such as deal status, related tasks, recent interactions, and more—all presented at the convenience of a click. 



This feature is designed to save time, improve productivity, and empower you to make informed decisions effortlessly.

What makes Record Summary stand out?

Regardless of your role in the organization, if you have the permission to generate summaries, Zia offers actionable insights tailored to key modules. Here's what you get from the summaries:
  • Accounts
    View account details such as industry, size, and location. Identify key contacts, track recent activities like calls or meetings, and analyze historical trends in account activity. You can also view total revenue generated and its contribution to overall sales.



  • Contacts
    Access essential information about a contact’s role, decision-making authority, and recent interactions. The summary also highlights preferences, communication channels, and ideal engagement times.



  • Leads
    Review lead qualification details, including potential value, origin, and effectiveness of lead sources. Evaluate conversion probabilities and focus on leads most likely to drive business results.



  • Deals
    Stay updated on sales stages, deal values, and key decision-makers. The summary for a deal highlights milestones, competitive analysis, potential risks, and pipeline metrics like cumulative value and engagement scores.



  • Custom Modules
    For custom modules, the summary provides a generalized overview based on the fields and data available in the module. This ensures that every module benefits from a streamlined and efficient summary experience.

Who can generate summary?

Users with the Record Summary permission under Zia enabled in their profiles can generate and access summaries. You can generate up to 100 summaries per day.

  • Record Summary is available for users in the Ultimate editions of Zoho CRM with 50+ licenses.
  • Currently, it’s supported in the US data center and in English.
