We’re excited to announce Segments in Zoho Apptics, a new way to group users based on their behavior, preferences, and app activity. With Segments, you can deliver more meaningful, timely, and relevant experiences to your users. When combined with Push Notifications, it becomes even more powerful, helping you send the right message to the right audience at the right time.
Instead of relying on broad, one-size-fits-all communication, Segments lets you create custom groups of users using filters such as demographics, events, sessions, screen visits, and more. Whether you want to welcome new users with a personalized message, re-engage dormant users with a gentle nudge, or share exclusive offers with your most loyal users, Segments makes it simple to do so.
How to build segments in Apptics?
To create a new segment, go to the Apptics console. From the left menu, under Audience, click on Segments and then select Create segment. Define your audience by adding conditions and filters.
- You can use up to three groups and five conditions per group.
- The logic builder lets you combine criteria with AND/OR operators to build precise audience groups.
- A segment summary provides a quick overview of the applied conditions, with an optional date range filter.
Once you’re done, add a name and description for your segment and click Save.
From there, you’ll also gain access to detailed user and device-level insights, including user IDs, personal identifiers, install dates, and last activity.
On the Segments page, you’ll find all of your saved segments, along with details such as the criteria used and the created and last-modified dates. You can edit, delete, or even clone any segment instantly.
Engage users with push notifications
To send targeted notifications to your users using segments, go to the Push notification page in the console. Select from your saved segments or create a new one and then draft your message. Once you’ve selected the audience, draft your message and decide how you want it delivered.
You can:
- Send it instantly for real-time engagement.
- Schedule it for a specific date and time to align with campaigns.
- Set it to recur automatically for ongoing communication with that audience.
