Is it possible to set create deal checked by default when converting a lead?

In our company whenever a lead is converted we make a deal. It is a pain to have to check the box every time. I would prefer if it was just a default behavior and the box wasn't even there. But it would be fine if the box could be checked by default. See picture below to see what I am talking about.

Please let me know if this is possible somewhere in settings or is able to be coded in.
