I have a single line text field which contains a ticket number.  I need to concatenate a rather long URL  (www.specialsite.com?ticketnum="[value of ticketnum field]. I need to be able to click on this and launch the web page either in a new window, or at least a new tab, I believe that this will likely be from a report. 

Just as I was typing this, I remembered something in the videos about custom buttons.  Wonder if that's what I'm looking for.  Hopefully, somebody might be able to point this novice in the right direction before I walk blindly into new button territory
