Work with Email integrated CRM and map old Emails or Emails forgotten without Outlook Plugin
In many years working with Email integrated CRMs I know, and experience it now with Zoho CRM, it's normal that old emails need to be related to Leads or Contacts. As we also don't want to default BCC and sometimes we forget to send a copy of sent emails to Zoho CRM BCC Dropbox.
How can such old or forgotten Emails added and related to Zoho CRM without Outlook Plugin?
A. The reasons for searching a solution without Outlook Plugin are:
- Mixed environment with many users on iMail, Thunderbird.or Goggle Mail web client
- Zoho CRM Outlook Plugin is currently in such a bad condition that it can't be used
- The Google Mail POP3 integration is smart in it's agile approach working for any mailbox, as it acts like a POP3 client, great approach, but too primitive:
- Works only on future emails, and doesn't work well for 'filers' who remove emails from inbox within minutes
- Simply fills the POP3 mailbox running on Zoho CRM with hundreds of emails without any relation to sales or operation, without any possibility to purge unrelated emails (emails which To: or From: isn't in Zoho CRM. Do I want to pay for duplicated storage in the long run? No!
- The Google Apps Integration is more a vapourware which only adds a Zoho CRM link to the Apps, no Actions on emails available... https://www.zoho.com/google-apps/overview.html
Another 30 minutes wasted on marketing only software.;.-(
B. Potential approaches:
- Upload of emails in e.g. *.msg format in a web form 'Add email'
- Even relate emails to Leads, Contacts or Potentials without looking at To. or From:
- Real Google Apps Mail add-on to be installed form Google Apps, see 4 above
- Mount Zoho Mail as IMAP into preferred mail client and copy (upload) specific email, which are then taken as today
