With the new new year taking place, our service team is being restructured and we would like to merge some of our departments in zoho desk.
Currently we have departments based on products for example interviews, Daily etc
The proposed change is that we are now going based on the agents' role which means we have a team called "Cloud Team" that handles both Daily and Interviews department so it is ideal to merge both department into one and call it "Cloud Department"
What is the proposed solution here for migration?
I can leave my "Daily" department as original department just rename it "Cloud Team" and then merge/transfer all records from Interviews to the default "Daily" Department which is now called Cloud Team.
Keep in mind the purpose here is that before I make the Interviews department inactive, I want to transfer all the records e.g. customers tickets to the new Cloud Team.
My understanding is that currently if you were to transfer tickets from one department to another it changes the agent and reopen the ticket, I dont want anything to happen to the ticket I simply want to move ticket from one to another in bulk with changing nothing no status change no agent change.
Is there any recommended method for migrating one department to another in zoho desk?
