Naming Documents

Whenever I name my documents with something like #5 at the end, it always deletes the #5 part of it, unless I do the same thing again.

Ex.
Name: Journal #2
[hit enter]
Name: Journal
[type #2 again]
Name: Journal #2

Just a bit annoying. ^_^
