However, there is one aspect which needs to be fixed. 

If in a form we have a lookup field which references to ID field form another form and we use for it Advanced Display Options to display for example First Name and Last Name. The values coming from that field are correctly displayed in views. Also, filtering is possible, because First Name and Last Name are displayed in the built in filter instead of ID. But when it comes to filtering criteria displaying (a great feature in the new interface), the ID field is displayed instead, as in the image below.

It is completely unuseful to have the ID displayed in that place instead of First Name and Last Name, as it appears in all other places in view. So please take into consideration this case - filtering by a field with Advanced Display Options enabled.
