problem opening docs using Chrome browser

I've recently switched to Chrome after Firefox updates made life too difficult, and now with the changes in your Writer UX for opening documents I can't see or open most of my Zoho docs.  At first the display was buggy (different options overlaid) but at least I could get to my most recent 4 docs.  I tried to open an older doc today and am stymied - when I search nothing seems to happen and I can't expand My Documents, the arrow points down but no list appears.  Help please!  This is a major problem, I need to get work done.
