Hi, all. I'm researching the possibility of using Zoho Creator to organize an academic conference. I'd like to know if Zoho Creator has a way of automatically renaming files as a user submits them (or else batch-renaming all the files at once).
In the past, we have manually collected conference submissions as email attachments and then numbered them by hand, associating those numbers with a last name in a Google Doc. With hundreds of submissions, this is a laborious process. But, if each user could be assigned a sequential number as they submit (i.e. a database key, like 001, 002, ...), and then have their corresponding file upload named in the same way, it would be a perfect solution. This makes it much easier for sorting submissions into folders for referees and also makes sure that the file names are blinded. An alternative,
once the submissions are closed,
would be to assign a unique ID number to each row in the table and to their file upload at the same time. Obviously, making sure these two numbers match is critical.
