Hello everyone,

Global search helps you find the information you need, no matter where it is located in the CRM. We've made a few changes to global search to make it more user-friendly and capable.



Scope your search for more relevant results


To find the record you need in the first try, you can now limit the search in two ways:
  1. Restrict the search to a particular module: Previously, this was available in the advanced search results page. We've now added it to the search box to help you get more relevant results in the first try.

  2. Increase precision using record name and tag: You can now get a more refined set of search results by searching in the record name or tags or both. For example, if you want to search a contact by name, you can use these options to narrow down your search results. Simply press # in the search box to access this option.

Find and act using the first search results

Search is often performed with the intent of quickly identifying a record and taking action. Previously, the search results were not helpful in speeding up this process.


To find and act quickly within search, we've made two changes:
  1. Additional context for results: The search results that appear as you type in the search box will include useful information to help you quickly locate a record.

  2. Follow-up actions: In addition, once you locate a record, you can send an email or make a phone call right from the results. For example, you can send a followup email to a contact right after you find them in the search results.

Sort and filter your results in advanced search

Advanced search gives you more options to find the data you need. We've now added two enhancements to make it easier to get what you need:
  1. Filter the results: You can now filter results not only by modules, but also criteria related to record ownership, creation, and modification.
  2. Sort the results: Switch between the most recently modified results and the most relevant ones to find the information you seek.

Access AskZia within global search for computed results,  custom views, reports, dashboards, and more

AskZia, our AI Sales Assistant, is packed with a lot of capabilities to get results that are not just records in the CRM. You can ask for computed results, custom views, reports, and more.

Now, you can access it within Global Search by simply pressing / in the search box and entering your query.

In addition, you can use:
  1. Suggestion for you: Based on your usage of the CRM, you'll get a set of suggested queries to help you get started.

  2. Routine messages and Explore: You can even set routine messages and explore how Zia found those results within global search itself.
