SalesIQ Live Chat Widget Upgrade For Zoho Desk Customers

The older version of the SalesIQ live chat widget will be deprecated on May 15, 2026. SalesIQ powers the chat experience across Zoho Desk, Help Center, and ASAP widgets. To ensure continued support, Zoho Desk will begin rolling out the new SalesIQ widget on May 18, 2026.
 

What this upgrade offers

The new SalesIQ widget has been rebuilt to provide a faster, more reliable, and more accessible chat experience for customers.

Availability of the new widget in Zoho Desk

The updated SalesIQ widget will be available in Zoho Desk starting May 18, 2026. From this date onward:
  1. The embed code in Setup > Channels > Chat > Chat Settings will automatically display the new SalesIQ widget code.
  2. Websites using the embed code generated from Zoho Desk will automatically load the new SalesIQ widget.
  3. No manual changes are required within Zoho Desk.


Impact on Help Center and ASAP

If you use live chat in your Zoho Desk Help Center or the ASAP widget, no action is required. Both will automatically start loading the new SalesIQ widget beginning May 18, 2026.

End of support for the older widget

After May 15, 2026, the older SalesIQ widget will no longer receive:
  1. Bug fixes
  2. Performance improvements
  3. Compatibility updates
  4. New features

While the older widget may continue to function temporarily, some capabilities may degrade over time as browsers and platform technologies evolve.
