Send as Email, Rich Text Editor features are now supported in Zoho Desk Android app!

Hello All!

We are delighted to announce about the new feature 'Send as email' in the Zoho Desk Android app (v2.3.11).

Agents can send outbound emails to new or existing contacts at the time of ticket creation. You can also convert the emails into tickets and track their progress. Furthermore, such contacts do not receive the new ticket notification.

This feature will be available in the mobile app if it is enabled on the desktop site (desk.zoho.com). You can enable this feature on the desktop site by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Click the Setup icon (  ) in the top menu.
  2. Click General Settings under the Customization menu.
  3. Turn on the Send as Email option on the General Setting page.

You can send emails to customers using this option while creating a ticket in the app.

1. Go to Add ticket page in the app.
2. Enter the details of the contact.
3. Click the ellipsis icon at the top.
4. Select 'Send as Email' option, to send outbound emails to the customers.

Here is a screenshot attached below for your better understanding:

Note: Agents only with the Send Emails and Ticket Creation permission can send outbound emails.

We have also brought in support for 'Rich Text Editor' in the mobile app using which you can enhance the texts entered in the Description field.

For instance, you can make the text as Bold, Italics, Underline and much more, as depicted in the screenshot below:

Do check out the features and share your feedback in the comments section!

Sincerely,
Sri Priya
