Hello everyone,
We’d like to inform you about a brief service disruption that affected Zoho Cliq users in the EU region earlier today. The issue has been resolved, and all services are now operating normally.
Summary
On February 9, 2026, Zoho Cliq experienced a temporary outage in the EU region due to an unexpected surge in traffic, resulting in server overload. The issue was identified quickly, additional capacity was provisioned, and services were restored within a short period.
Timeline
10:04 AM CEST – Traffic surge detected
10:08 AM CEST – Some users began experiencing service issues
10:18 AM CEST – Server provisioning initiated to handle increased load
10:34 AM CEST – Services fully restored
10:38 AM CEST – Server provisioning completed
Total duration of customer impact: ~26 minutes
What Happened
A temporary increase in traffic led to higher-than-usual load on a subset of servers, resulting in brief service unavailability. Some internal service requests were also being routed through the same server group due to a misconfiguration that existed prior to this period, which contributed to the load. The situation was quickly stabilized once the routing was corrected and additional capacity was applied.
Resolution
To restore service quickly, we:
Provisioned additional servers to distribute the load
Corrected traffic routing so internal requests are handled by their designated server groups
These actions stabilized the system and brought Zoho Cliq back to normal operation.
Preventive Measures
To enhance reliability further and scale, we’re taking the following steps:
Enhancing application performance to improve overall request handling
Optimizing traffic routing for better load distribution across server groups
Expanding baseline server capacity to improve resilience during peak usage
Customer Impact
Some customers in the EU region may have experienced intermittent access issues during this window.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.
Best,
