We send out a lot of large orders, and often there are one or two things backordered. How can I fix the packing slips to show

quantity ordered  & quantity packed

There should also be the ability to "ship" 0 of an item so the receiver knows that things were ordered and that the entire line item was backordered.

This seems like a huge flaw since any other system that I have used that have so many other issues at least let me customize my forms.

Heck i'd even go in with the API if it was possible just to get this fixed.

Am I SOL?
