Typing out a full State name this day in age is archaic, it's prone to mistakes and errors that can cause issues in every aspect of a sales cycle from shipping issues, payment problems and any API's linking to other software.  There has to be a way to have a default picklist for this right?

Problem is with a custom field, you literally have to re-do everything and you can't even name it "State" It doesn't transfer the address on conversion or making quote, invoice, job etc.  While yes, you can re-map some conversion aspects and create workflows and functions for everything but that is a lot of work for what should be a standard feature.

It also makes you have to re-do APIs and no code Zaps/Flows along with issues on native integrations between Zoho apps like Invoice, Books and more.

I can't be the first person to have brought this up.  While I also think Zip-code lookup and Zip-code auto-populate city and state should be an option out of the box, the state dropdown is a US standard for websites and applications and that really should be the default.
