We have a team of 'Pre-Sales' Users who setup Event meetings for the Sales team. We use Office 365 and Outlook Calendar and have installed the CRM / Outlook plug-in to synch the Event meetings. 

Is it possible to restrict the CRM / Outlook synch to work with CURRENT / FUTURE Events only ? and to ignore the HISTORIC Events ??

Each time our Pre-Sales team setup a new Event meeting, they use the CRM / Outlook synch to add the Event to Outlook Calendar. Because they have now setup 100+ Event meetings, the Outlook synch takes 15 minutes to complete, as it has to synch all the historic meeting events first. This is taking increasingly longer as we setup more new meeting events.
