Trouble working offline

Sorry if this is a repeat of a previous forum post, but I'm not sure the other was saved.

Here's my problem: I was using Google Gears to work on a Zoho document offline. I assumed when I went online later, the two documents -- the previous one and the one I worked on -- would sync. However, they did not, and when I went online, I found I was working on the older version. I then went into offline mode, and it did sync -- and the older version overwrote (I think) the newer one. I now can't seem to find the newer version -- if it still exists.

So I have two questions:

If the version that I worked on in offline mode still exists, where would it be? (I'd hate to think that two hours work is gone.)

How can I sync my documents when I go back online so this situation won't recur?
