Using Same Custom Field in Multiple Departments

Using Same Custom Field in Multiple Departments

We have a custom field of type "Pick List" with over 50 options in it. We want this same list to be available for more than one department. In the other departments, none of the values we have setup for this field exist though. So my question is:
  1. Is there a way to have the values we setup for this custom field to display in all departments?
  2. If each department has its own separate list, how can we move the items in bulk? I know how to bulk add values to the new department, but I can't find any way to export/download the list of values from the original department's custom field.
