What is the difference between "List view" and "Quick navigation" under the category settings in the help desk?

What is the difference between "List view" and "Quick navigation" under the category settings in the help desk?

I was wondering wgat is the difference between "List view" and "Quick navigation" under the category settings in the help desk? I see in the articles (when in "Quick navigation") a 'next' and 'previous' button. But aside from that I see no difference.
