What's new in Zoho Payroll - Indian Edition


Hi! 

We have been making some changes to improve your Payroll experience. Here is a glimpse of the latest updates:


Simplified employee data import


We've now made it easier for you to import employee data into Zoho Payroll. The updated options allow you to add employee details, including basic, payment, and statutory details of your employees, as separate files. This will make the onboarding process simple and hassle-free when editing the existing data. 



                                                                 

Downloadable bank advice for direct deposit members 

You can now download the bank advice of employees enrolled with direct deposit and share it with the bank. This ensures that your employees get paid at all costs. While downloading the bank advice, make sure you check on the checkbox that says "Include direct deposit employees". 

                                                                  

Note:  The bank advice for all your employees using bank transfer and direct deposit will be available in the downloaded file.

Enhanced salary register report 

Get a holistic view of the employee details in your organization with the revamped salary register report. The previously called Employee Salary Statement, now comes with a new-look and name containing your employees' salary details, along with other basic information such as department, designation, date joined, and more. 

Payroll related Budget changes implemented 

The Indian government recently announced changes to budget on tax deductions for home buyers, and on e-vehicles. Zoho Payroll has implemented these changes so your business can stay compliant. You can have a look at the recent changes here.

Linking payable days from Zoho People to Zoho Payroll 

You can now calculate employee salary based on payable days(the total number of days in your attendance cycle). Sync the attendance data captured in Zoho People automatically with Zoho Payroll. Avoid manual attendance entry with this feature.

Enable the payable days sync by following these steps:
Go to Zoho Payroll -> Settings -> Zoho Apps -> Zoho People -> LOP preferences

Then, click on the "Fetch payable days from Zoho People" checkbox in the window that appears.

Payable days for all your employees will be fetched directly while creating a pay run. Any update made to the payable days in Zoho People will be updated while syncing the LOP details.
