When will the feature to have parent folders highlighted when subfolders have new mail be available?

Hi,

Is this feature still coming? It is very needed still!!!!!  I read some posts from a few years ago that said it was in the works, but I haven't found a way to set it up in the settings yet.

It would be very useful to have parent folders highlighted when subfolders have new email in them.  I have a lot of folders in my email account, but I can't utilize subfolders because this feature is missing.  It's very time consuming to have to click on every parent folder every time I check my email to see if there are new emails in the subfolders.

We need a quick and easy way to see which parent folders have new email in their subfolders.  If this feature is not available yet but is in testing mode, please include me in the test so I can try this feature out!  Thanks!

Additionally, I utilize filters so that all incoming emails are pre-sorted into my folders, so there is very little in my actual inbox. But, the only options for the initial view at login are inbox and all unread messages.  But, many unread messages are not what I would consider important or urgent.

I too, have a great need for a more customized initial view.  Maybe an option could be added to view all emails marked with a certain label, and then you pick your label from the drop down list in the settings page?  This way, you could use filters on incoming mail to identify and label mail you would consider urgent and that you would want in your initial view, and not include email that you don't want in your initial view, without having to change the read/unread status, so you would still know you hadn't yet read the less important emails.  This would also be very beneficial for mobile users.
