I've migrated from Evernote Plus to the free version Notebook. I think there's a lot of potential to Notebook but it has to speed up when i open my personal notebooks. Maybe all the graphics and fancy cards are slowing down the loading process, i don't know. But i do know that Evernote Plus was much faster loading everything. The reason i'm looking at Notebook is that Evernote had a lot of synchronising issues at the moment and increased their prices by almost 40%.
