Functions:
- Did you know that you can update the 'Amount' field in the Deals module with a custom field's value from Accounts module when a new deal is created? Explore how @Arnau Marti accomplished this requirement using Functions triggered using Workflows in this forum post.
- @Adolf Kleinhans aimed to send out the details of newly created leads as Cliq notifications. Currently, the notification triggered by the Workflow rule only displays a "View Record" button, but they wanted to include additional information in the message, such as lead source, owner, and more. Check out the code shared by @Pheranda to fulfil this requirement. If you are new and seeking guidance, watch the video posted by @Hugh Marshall for step-by-step instructions.
- Check out @Ishwarya's code that creates a new task associated with a lead and assigns it to the lead owner using Functions. The code also facilitates sending notifications and reminder emails to the assignee.
- Do you need to automate mapping of Contacts with Account that share the same domain name? Check out @Hugh Marshall's code for a solution.
Dev's corner:
- You can now select the Zoho CRM email template as the body for the mail merge email using our API. Take a look at this post for more details.
- @Team Dataholics raised a concern where the default install function is causing issues by overwriting custom user-related data during updates. They are seeking advice on how to address this by checking for variable existence and potentially excluding specific parts of the install function during updates. Check out the code and the suggestions posted by @Bhoomi Joshi in this discussion for insights on addressing this concern.
- Take a closer look @Praveen Sankar's suggestion to employ the 'openPopup' method for extending the time out of Client Scripts. This approach offers a practical workaround to the concern raised by @Ash-Tech.co.il about extending the Client Script's execution time.
