Card Scanner App vs Card Scanning Feature in Leads?

I had purchased the Zoho Card Scanner App to use with the Zoho app. It works? Not real great, but it's better than nothing at the moment.

Then I found the Leads App as well. In the Leads App, you have to purchase the Card Scanning Feature. So, I bought the Card Scanner App and now I have to purchase the Card Scanning Feature? Seems like a scam to get my $0.99. Can the Card Scanner not be used for the Card Scanning Feature in the Leads app?
