Changes to sidebar not saved

Hi,

The global sidebar of my site currently contains a GoogleMaps widget and a Facebook widget.
When I change it (e.g. add a paragraph element, change order of widgets, etc) and save it, I get the messages "Saving changes..." / "Saved", but nothing is really saved!

Is there anything I can do?

Update:
While I was trying to save another change to the sidebar, I got the message "Error in saving changes. Please reload page and try again.!!", but the problem remained.
