Close task on Completion Date entry

This discussion is similar to my issue:

Scenario:
  1. A bunch of tasks have been completed.  But, they have not been closed.
  2. Time goes by
  3. You finally get around to closing those tasks
  4. Projects assigns the date the task is closed to the Completion Date.  But, you want an earlier date/the actual date it was completed.
  5. Now you have to edit the Completion Date for each task
Idea:
Make the Completion Date editable in-line and automatically close the task once the date is entered.  This would save a lot of clicks and time
