When I edit my sites CSS I save the changes, but then my site looks wrong. When I go back to the CSS editor, all my custom css that I have edited has now been changed and compressed into about a 10th of the size. Why is this happening?

Also after this I am asked to name my theme, and then I cannot access the visual editor as my 'new' theme is not customizable.
