Email Notifications -> IN BCC instead of TO -> 2nd try


We have the case that we are in the need to limit the emailing option,
Reason - Confidentiality and PRIVACY Laws

Currently notifications are sent to everybody but with all emails in the TO field of the email - Hence publishing all email addresses

It would be very helpful to solve our issues with privacy all user addresses would appear in the BCC field of the email - hence no disclosure


  • we can not send message in which the email addresses of all members are made public to all by placing them in the TO field - BCC option would be a easy and urgent fix but to no avail.


  • the reason for using forums is to keep the discussions in the forum - hence why sending emails when you have a dashboard - in my opinion the email option just get people to NOT use the forums actively




  • Restriction of sensitive content in forums is also Important tool for us - Emailing completely goes against this.
    the forum can easily be used to keep confidential discussions with in the area, without the fear of disclosing any information
    -> just do not allow any Notifications on certain topics would be the easiest solution - That would mean the content remains ONLY accessible to people with access to the forum - hence secure




  • Would This be possible or become a Option to select on Portal Management side?
