I would like to request a feature enhancement for Zoho Cliq to allow users to send direct messages to themselves.
Currently, Zoho Cliq does not have the option to send a direct message to oneself. While creating a channel with just one member (the user themselves) is possible, it does not provide the same seamless experience as direct messaging. Additionally, custom functions do not provide a viable workaround for this functionality.
This feature is available in other platforms like WhatsApp, where users can send messages to themselves for note-taking or tracking messages. In such cases, messages to oneself work and look like regular chats but lack unnecessary functionalities like calls, notifications muting, blocking, etc.
