Help? can I view an earlier version of one of my pages?

While building my website I added a new page called "portfolio" to the menu and saved it. But when looked at my home page it showed the portfolio page content.  That is, both home and portfolio look identical.   Yikes? Is there any way to retrieve the "real" homepage content? pleeeease ….
