Multiple products to one vendor

Multiple products to one vendor

My business is expanding and I need to handle products and vendors.  Since I am a happy customer of Zoho Books, I looked no further than Zoho.  Zoho CRM Professional is offered with these features, so I happily started my free trial to set things up.  However, I was dismayed to find that the Inventory management part of Zoho CRM Professional is quite undeveloped.

In real life, it is quite common for one vendor to offer multiple products.  It is also quite common for one product to be offered by different vendors. This is my business need, but no matter how much I tried to relate links and create new fields within the customization menu, I couldn't get any of this to happen.  I spoke with customer service and they confirmed that it can't be done.

In addition to this, there was the CRM to Books sync problem.  T he Vendors in Zoho CRM cannot be imported into Zoho Books.  This means that if you purchase something from a Vendor using a Purchase Order in Zoho CRM, it becomes an expense of your organization, so you want it to be an expense in Zoho Books.  However, you can't sync the Purchase Order with Zoho Books and make it an expense. Not only that, you can't import your Zoho CRM Vendors from Zoho Books, which means that when you record each purchase order as an expense in Zoho Books, you will also have to enter the Vendor information, again.

I think Zoho is capable of solving this easily because Zoho CRM has a category called Accounts, and another one called Contacts, and there can be multiple Contacts associated to one Account.

Two years ago I chose Zoho for my small business thinking it would mean I could use various Zoho Apps together for different purposes.  But being unable to sync simple things like vendors from one App to the other, or manage products and vendors the way the really exist in real life has been actually disheartening.  This means that we cannot grow with Zoho products, and we're back on the SaaS search again.

Zoho, please tell me you have solutions to this in your short-term plans. I think one of your greatest strengths is continuous improvement.
