Hi Zoho WorkDrive Team,
Hope you are doing well.
We would like to raise a critical feature request regarding the Google Drive → Zoho WorkDrive migration process.
Zoho WorkDrive currently enforces a hard limitation: A Zoho WorkDrive user can be the destination of a Google Drive migration only once.
Once a WorkDrive account has participated in a migration it is permanently blocked from receiving any additional Google Drive data, regardless of: The business use case or Explicit admin intent.
This results in the error:
“Migration already completed for this WorkDrive email id.”
A Google Workspace user leaves the organization
Before deleting the Google account, the admin must consolidate all Drive data
The target WorkDrive user (e.g. admin@company.com) is active and authorized
Migration is blocked only because that WorkDrive user was part of a migration in the past
This makes proper offboarding and data consolidation impossible.
Please remove or relax the “one migration per WorkDrive user” restriction and allow:
OR
OR
All migrations should remain admin-initiated and controlled.
Offboarding users is a standard IT/admin task
Historical migrations should not block future business operations
There is no duplication risk when migration is explicitly initiated
Other platforms allow multiple imports into the same account
This limitation breaks valid enterprise workflows
Forces unsafe and illogical admin role juggling
This is not a technical impossibility — it is a product design limitation that needs reconsideration.
Import data from any Google account Into any WorkDrive account As many times as needed, under admin control
We strongly request that it be treated as a high-priority product gap, as it directly impacts real organizational workflows.
Thank you for your attention and continued improvements to Zoho WorkDrive.
Warm regards,
Ram
