Two new updates to simplify your shift planning

Two new updates to simplify your shift planning

We’ve introduced two small but handy enhancements in Zoho Workerly that aim to reduce steps and give you more flexibility while planning shifts. Here’s what’s new and why it matters:

Toggle between weekly and monthly roster views

Pain point

Planning shifts week by week can get tedious when you're looking at longer assignments or managing temps across the whole month. You’d have to scroll week-by-week and manually tally the bigger picture.

What’s new

You can now switch to a monthly view in the roster. It presents the entire month’s shift data in a scrollable horizontal format — helping you spot gaps, overlaps, and plan ahead with fewer clicks.

How it helps:

  • Get a better view of long-term shift allocation.
  • Spot overbooked or under-booked weeks.
  • Plan ahead without jumping between screens.
Idea
Best practice: Use the monthly view when you're planning shifts for events, large contracts, or recurring assignments.

Create shifts on unavailable days without removing the data manually

Pain point

Let’s say a temp is marked unavailable on a date — but something changes, and you now need to assign them a shift. You had to first go remove the unavailability manually before creating the shift. Time-consuming and easy to miss.

What’s new

When creating a shift on an unavailable day, Workerly now alerts you and lets you delete the unavailable entry with your consent, right during shift creation.

How it helps:

  • No need to exit and delete data manually.
  • Fewer steps while creating urgent or last-minute shifts.
  • Keeps your flow uninterrupted.
