V 2.5: Webinar: Introducing registration form customization, Online Meeting: Introducing moderator controls, lock meeting, and a lot more.

We're constantly rolling out new features and enhancements in Zoho Meeting. Here are a list of new features and enhancements rolled out in this month (July 2018).

 

New updates in webinar solution:

Introducing customize registration form

Now add predefined fields or custom fields to your webinar registration form. Get more information from your webinar registrants before-hand and understand your leads better. All these can be viewed by the webinar organizer from the registrants' report. Learn more on what you can do with custom registration form.


New-look for webinar registration page

We have also redesigned the registration page to have a fresh and new-look along with the custom registration form. The registrants can now view the time of the webinar scheduled in their local timezone along with the scheduled timezone. 


Webinar thank you email

We have now added the automated follow-up email for the webinar attendees thanking them for attending the webinar. 

 


 

New updates in online meeting solution:

Zoho Contacts synced with Zoho Meeting

Zoho Contacts is now synced with Zoho Meeting and it gets listed as autosuggest in invite participant while scheduling meeting. The participants invited for a meeting will also be added to your Zoho Contacts.

Introducing lock meeting

Host private meetings by locking the meeting using the Lock Meeting option on the left panel in the Presenter app. The participants can then knock and join the meeting only after the presenter's approval. The presenter can choose to accept or reject the participant from joining the meeting. 



Introducing moderator control for audio

The presenter can now take control of their web meeting's audio. Mute the participant with some background noise and make the meeting smooth. Mute individuals or all the participants during the meeting (the participant will be able to unmute themselves if desired). 


Remove participants from meeting

The meeting presenter can now remove any participant and disconnect them from the meeting using the 'Remove' option beside the participant in the Attendee List.                                            


Other enhancements and bug fixes

Integrations

  • The issue of unable to schedule meeting from Zoho calendar, and the invite was not sent to participants are now resolved.

  • Zoho Meeting is included in Zoho One and you can now add the Zoho Meeting application.

 

Desktop App

  • The issue of signing in from desktop app is now fixed.

  • Now we are showing UI for launcher open while starting or joining session in chrome or firefox

 

Web App

  • The announcement notification at the top of the web app will not be shown again if you close. It will be shown when we make the next announcement.

  • Now you can crop the image while uploading logo in manage organization setting.

  • Get access to our latest user guide from the top right menu when you login to Zoho Meeting account.

  • Get the link to install the android app for joining meeting from the bottom menu in Home page of Zoho Meeting.

  • A better notification message is shown while adding users to the org.

  • Now the time left in the subject of reminder email will be day, hours, or minutes depending on the reminder setting.

  • We have now updated email validation to accommodate longer email domains. 

  • Proper error handling along with relevant notification message is added to the user management section of Manage Organization module.

  • The issue of sending meeting update email though there occurs an error while saving the edits has been fixed now.

  • The issue of showing "{meeting_tagline}" in meeting invitation email has been fixed. 

  • Now the reminder emails are co-branded with organization logo.

 

Webinar Enhancements

  • The registration confirmation email is redesigned with better clarity on the information.

  • The character limit for title and description while scheduling the webinar has now been increased as 200 characters for webinar title and 2000 for the description.

  • Now the registration page allows the registrants to fill the form in other languages.

  • Now you can find the webinar analytics once you start the webinar and now you don't have to wait for the webinar scheduled time to arrive. 

  • The issue of showing error in windows while double clicking the webinar registration link has been fixed now.

  • The issue of already filled question getting cleared while changing the polling option from Multiple choice to Star rating in creating poll is now fixed.

 

Meeting Enhancements

  • The issue with the organization logo not reflected in meeting invitation email is fixed now.

  • We have now removed the RSVP for the presenter invitation email and have added the add to calendar option.

  • The character limit for topic and agenda while scheduling the meeting has now been increased as 200 characters for meeting topic and 2000 for the agenda.

  • Unable to start an instant meeting with popup blocker in some browsers has been fixed. 

  •  The issue of unable to join meeting from meet.zoho.com page while entering special characters or name in other languages has been resolved.

  • We have now added snapping email which supports comma (,) and newline as delimiters while inviting participants.

 

Presenter/Participant App

  • The mis-aligned UI of the participant's email ID in "Attendees list" after changing presenter is fixed now.

  • The issue of showing scroll bar in chat on some browsers is fixed now. 

  • The issue of clearing earlier poll participation of the attendee on server reconnection has been fixed.

  • The issue of hiding screen sharing button on reconnection has been fixed.

  • The issue of webcam video stream not been disconnected even after ending the session has been fixed.

  • The issue of webcam green light being still on when connected to audio alone has been fixed.

  • The issue of showing the multiline Other audio text in a single line has been fixed.

  • The misleading text description in 'Multiple Poll' has now been corrected.
