Hello everyone,
We are happy to announce our new feature, Detail View in Custom Module History, which enhances visibility, control and accountability over your records. Users can now access a detailed timeline of every action that has been performed on a record from the record's history tab. Whether it is an add or a update, every event is automatically captured, making it easier to monitor and manage record activity.
If multiple agents are updating a record, the detail view in the history tab helps identify who made the change, when was it made, and from which IP address. This makes it simple to trace any errors and correct them quickly, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
What is new in History Detailed view?
Clicking on the log entry in the History tab opens a drilled down view with in-depth information of the actions. The following details will be displayed:
Date and time: Displays the date and time when the log was created
- Performed by: Mentions the name of the user who performed the action
- IP address: The location source of the action.
- Department: The department associated with the record.
- Entity: Mentions the specific custom module where the action took place.
- Action and sub-action: A clear mention of the type of change, whether an add or an update.
How it helps agents and record owners
- Enhanced transparency: The detailed history view offers complete visibility into the records. Teams can easily understand the progression of additions and updates. The transparency minimizes confusion, especially when several different agents or departments work with the same record.
- Better collaboration: When multiple users are handling records in a module, the detailed view keeps everyone on the same page. Agents can see who made the recent updates, reducing miscommunication.
- Improved data security: Tracking who made each change, when, and where that action was performed, including IP addresses, ensures that all records are secure and can be audited effectively.
This feature is now available for all users across data centers.
