Admin Access to Subscriber Information for System/Default Bots in Zoho Cliq

Admin Access to Subscriber Information for System/Default Bots in Zoho Cliq

Dear Zoho Cliq Team,

Greetings,

We would like to request an enhancement to Zoho Cliq's bot management capabilities. Specifically, we are asking for the ability for organization administrators to view the list of subscribers for system/default bots, such as the Zoho Recruit Bot.

Use Case:

When integrating Zoho Recruit with Zoho Cliq, a default bot is automatically added to the organization. However, currently there is no interface or tool available to administrators to:

  1. See who is subscribed to this bot.

  2. Manage or control subscriptions.

  3. Understand what data or actions are being accessed via the bot.

We believe this is a critical gap in functionality, especially from a security, privacy, and administrative oversight perspective.

Requested Feature:

  • A section within Bots & Tools > Admin View where administrators can:

    • View a list of all organization-level bots, including system/default bots.

    • See the full list of current subscribers per bot.

    • Optionally control or restrict which users are allowed to subscribe to each bot.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced transparency for IT and security teams.

  • Better governance and compliance with internal access policies.

  • Avoid potential misuse or confusion regarding system-integrated bots.

Current Limitation:

We were informed by support that the API to retrieve bot subscribers only applies to custom bots with an accessible appkey, and that subscriber data for system bots like the Zoho Recruit bot is only available internally to Zoho. This limitation prevents us from properly managing or auditing bot usage across our organization.

We hope you will consider this feature.
Please let us know if there is a roadmap or alternative approach in the meantime.

Best regards,
Ram
