Zoho Inventory Product Sync

The descriptions on the sync settings between CRM and the Finance modules are very confusing.

My interpretation is that our two options for syncing between Inventory products and CRM products are:
  1. CRM ---> Inventory
  2. CRM <--> Inventory
Is this correct, or am I not interpreting the descriptions given correctly?

I want a one-way sync, Inventory ---> CRM. I want all product changes to be made in Inventory / Books, and then those changes forced to CRM. Is this possible?

Also, even after a customer has bought a product (invoice issued and paid via Books), the product is not associated with that person in CRM or Desk. I assumed that would be an automatic thing as part of the integration between finance and CRM. Am I missing something, or do I need to add that to the huge list of things that can't be accomplished without a programmer?
