5 small changes that make a big difference | Zoho Recruit

Sometimes, the biggest improvements aren’t new features, they’re small changes that make everyday actions feel smoother. Over the past few weeks, we’ve made a few such updates across Zoho Recruit.

They’re subtle, but together, they remove friction from some of your most frequently used functionalities.

Here’s what’s new:

1. Compliance Tab for the Candidate Portal

We’ve enhanced the Candidate Portal to support Data Subject Requests (DSRs) as part of our GDPR compliance capabilities. Candidates can now access a dedicated Compliance section within their portal to take control of their personal data.

What candidates can do:
  1. Submit requests to access, update, or delete their data
  2. Manage requests independently without reaching out to recruiters
  3. Stay informed and in control of all their requests
Please note that this section is available only when GDPR is enabled under Setup > Compliance.

2. Folders for Offer Templates

As your hiring scales, so does the number of offer templates you manage. To make this easier, you can now organize your templates into folders.

How this helps:
  1. Group templates by role, department, or location
  2. Quickly find the right template when sending offers
  3. Keep your template library clean and easy to navigate
It’s a simple addition, but one that makes managing offers far more structured as your team grows.

3. New Field for Interviews: Interview Type (Coming Soon)

We’ve added a new field called Interview Type to bring more clarity to your interview process. This update will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

It classifies interviews based on how they’re conducted:
  1. Formal Interview
  2. Live Video Interview
  3. Recorded Video Interview
  4. Third-party Interview (used for Microsoft Teams and Google Meet)
  5. Adhoc Interview (used for Log an Interview)
This is a system-defined field and cannot be edited. It works alongside your existing interview naming or categorization.

Please note that it won’t be visible within the interview record details page. You’ll be able to use it when applying filters or while setting up criteria for Custom Views, Workflow Rules, Reports, and similar configurations.

How this helps:
Interview data is often used for filtering, reporting, and automation. When classification is fully manual, it can lead to inconsistencies.

With Interview Type, you now get:
  1. A consistent way to identify interview formats
  2. Cleaner filtering across different interview types
  3. Simpler way to create workflows, custom views and reports
It adds structure where it matters, without changing how you currently manage your interviews.

4. Streamlined Video Interview Scheduling

We’ve simplified how you schedule video interviews by removing an extra step in the process.

What’s changed:

Instead of switching between different options across screens, you now have a single Provider field that brings everything together.

From here, you can directly choose:
  1. Zoho Recruit – Live
  2. Zoho Recruit – Recorded
  3. External providers like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet
What this improves:
  1. Fewer steps while scheduling
  2. A more intuitive selection process
  3. Faster interview setup, especially when switching between formats

5. New Job Board: GulfTalent

You can now publish jobs to GulfTalent directly from Zoho Recruit.

What this enables:
  1. Reach candidates across key markets in the Middle East
  2. Publish and manage job postings without leaving Zoho Recruit
  3. Streamline sourcing through a single workflow
Things to note:
  1. Requires an active GulfTalent account
  2. Configuration is available under Setup > Job Board Hub > Job Boards.
These are small changes, but ones you’ll feel in your day-to-day, whether you’re sending offers, setting up interviews, or just trying to get things done a little faster.

We’ve got more of these coming your way soon.

Regards,
Team Zoho Recruit
