I want to be clear that I really, really hate putting private business like this on public display, but I feel as if it might be the only way I’ll ever receive resolution to this issue. I’ll try to be brief but please bear with me.
Sometime in March, I set up free business email hosting for the domain “CITO.Solutions.” I used “milsey@zoho.com” — a 10-year-old personal account hosted on the zoho.com domain, not zohomail.com — for the OTP verification required to start the process
Nowhere in the process was I warned that my milsey@zoho.com address and data would be deleted and then the address used as an alias for the first user account I created under the CITO.Solutions domain … but that’s exactly what happened.
I immediately reached out to Zoho Support via phone and was assured that the situation could be fixed, including the return of milsey@zoho.com to a normal personal account with all of its associated data. I was told a ticket was created and would be emailed to me (at another address). That email never arrived.
I called Zoho Support again but the second person with whom I spoke was clueless about my previous call. He said he would investigate the matter and get back to me. That never happened.
I was sad to lose my longtime email address but needed to move forward with a clean setup of the CITO.Solutions domain. I deleted the domain’s only user account and then the domain itself, following Zoho’s checklist along the way.
I tried again to set up the domain but now am being told that the domain is associated with my old Zoho address. If I try to log into that old address, though, Zoho reports it doesn’t exist. Zoho also says no email hosting is set up for the domain, which has now become useless to me and my client.
I need help. I need to resolve this. All I care about at this point is being able to set up and use business email service for CITO.Solutions. I’d love to also recover milsey@zoho.com (if not the data as well) but I consider it a victim of war at this point.
HELP!!!
