can more users have its own mailbox on same domain?

For example:

I have mail john@mydomain.com which is working without any problems.

Can I create different user, lets called it Frank, and then create him his own mailbox on same domain - frank@mydomain.com?

Is this even possible? I found only how to create aliases for one mailbox.
