Create your own Zoho CRM homepage using Canvas - Home View!

Hello everyone

We are excited to share a new enhancement to Canvas in Zoho CRM that gives users more control over how their homepage looks and works.

Introducing Canvas Home View!

What is Canvas Home View?

You can now create and design a custom homepage directly using Canvas. Build role-based views that shows your teams what matters most to them at a glance with a clean and focused view based on their daily work.

What's New?

Design your homepage using canvas with drag and drop components.

Share this homepage with other users, groups, roles, profiles, territories and subordinate.

Create a canvas home view directly from your homepage.

Required Permissions : Ensure Manage Customization permission is enabled in your account for you to be able to design your own homepage.

Let's dive into the details below.

Build a Homepage that fits every role

Every team works differently. Sales managers want targets and deals. Support teams want tasks and tickets. Marketing teams want activity and campaign stats. With Home View, users can build a homepage that matches their daily needs.

Build your homepage without coding. Simply arrange the components by dragging and dropping them onto the canvas builder. Add mandatory fields and actions for easy navigation to show only what matters.

Supported components include :

Canvas View Support in Home View

You can now add your existing canvas list views as custom list view to your homepage. Any list view created in Canvas can be used to render a Custom View in Home View.


All three Canvas list view types are supported: Custom List View, Card or Tile View, and Table View. If a module does not already have a custom list view, you can create one and then add it to the Home View.

If you've not created any canvas views, you can Create New List Page from the properties section of the canvas builder so they can be embedded in any component of the Home View.

You can customize components to match your needs, such as:

Add charts with coloured labels and background colours of your choice.


Canvas Home View is supported in sandbox as well. You can create a Home View in the production account, copy it to sandbox users, make the required changes there, and then deploy those changes back to the production account.


Associate Queries to your Canvas Home View for seamless data access.

Share your homepage with others

Once you've built a homepage, you can choose to share this view with other users, specific groups, roles or profiles and also for territories and subordinates so they can also set it as their homepage.

Note : Sharing this homepage is not possible in a Sandbox environment.

We have also introduced the option to create a canvas home view directly from your home page. Check out the screenshot below.

A Sample Use Case

Think of a sales manager logging in every morning. With Home View, they can design a homepage that shows today’s deals, revenue accrued this month, open deals, monthly target meter and follow ups all in one place. No extra clicks needed. They can share this view with the sales reps from their team so everyone will look at information that matters to their role and responsibilities.
