Final Reminder - Deprecating Support for Authtokens
Dear Zoho Desk API users,
If you have been following this space, you would already know that we're discontinuing support for authtokens in our REST APIs. This is our final announcement on this subject.
If you have already migrated from authtokens to OAuth tokens in your API-based tools, you can ignore this post. If you still use authtokens, please read on and make the changes required, as soon as possible.
In this announcement made in September 2020, we had explained the reason behind deprecating authtokens and adopting OAuth tokens for user authentication. As mentioned in the announcement, we also disabled creation of new authtokens after the 30th of November, 2020. Further, any authtokens that are already in use will stop functioning after the 28th of February, 2021. Therefore, please migrate from authtokens to OAuth tokens before the end of this month.
For more details on the migration, please go through this announcement post. Additionally, here's a complete list of all the authtokens you've generated in the past. Out of these tokens, the one with supportapi (Desk) is the authtoken used to make Zoho Desk REST API calls.
We once again request you to review your API-based tools and make changes, where necessary.
