We're in the deprecation phase of API Version 1. As we announced since the beginning of the year, API Version 2.0 is available and Version 1 will be deprecated on the 31st of December. The reason for the transition is simply that we've come up with a better version of our APIs that trumps existing features. Here are a few reasons why API   V2 is advantageous:  

1. Increase in the daily limits of API calls (up to 1,000,000 calls)

3. Adherence to REST standards  

4. Easy JSON parsing
