How do I move a user from project staff to client status?

How do I move a user from project staff to client status?

I accidentally added a client to my project team. How do I move him? I tried deleting him from the project and then adding him as a new user under the clients, but zoho wouldn't let me do that...it said he already existed in the system.

Please help!
