I use books to auto-charge my customers credit card. But when I create a credit note there doesn't seem to be a way to directly refund the amount back to their credit card.

Is the only way to refund a credit note by doing it "offline" - or manually- and then recording the reference number back in books? I figured since the card info is stored in books that a refund could be made directly to the card.
